Start/Stop Service

To start or stop water service, call the Monte Vista Water District's Customer Service Department at (909) 624-0035. For more efficient service, please have your address or account number ready when you call.

Starting Water Service

To start water service with Monte Vista Water District please call or come in to the District's office at 10575 Central Avenue in Montclair. Monte Vista Water District makes every effort to provide next day service for requests received before 5:00 PM. 

You will need to provide the following information to our Customer Service Representatives to begin your service:

  • Service Address
  • Name
  • Mailing Address
  • Telephone
  • Last Four Digits of Your Social Security Number
  • Driver's License Number

A deposit is required upon the onset of services.

A mobile hydrant meter requires a signed application as well as a deposit.

Requests to start service by phone require a deposit by Visa, MasterCard, or Discover.

Discontinuing Water Service

To stop your service, please call the Customer Service Department. You will be asked to verify your identification with either the last four digits of your social security number or your full driver's license number. The staff will request a forwarding address for your final bill. If the closure of your account results in a refund, your refund will be mailed to you in approximately 4 - 6 weeks.
