Water Discharge in San Antonio Channel (Aug 8, 2016)

District customers have asked questions about the water flowing in the San Antonio Creek Channel. This is a controlled release and delivery of imported water, which is captured in its entirety before it reaches the ocean and stored in Orange County's groundwater basin. All of this water will be used, and none will go to waste.


"How Do You Save Water" Winners (Jun 29, 2016)

Monte Vista Water District Service Area Teachers Receive Funds for Water Education Activities (Jun 16, 2016)

The Water Education Water Awareness Committee (WEWAC) has awarded more than $13,000 to local educators to conduct water-related education activities. Of the 26 grant recipients, 10 were selected from Monte Vista Water District's service area. A total of $5,250 was awarded to Lehigh Elementary, Monte Vista Elementary and Montclair High School.


Monte Vista Water District Receives High Ratings in Customer Satisfaction Survey (Jun 2, 2016)

Monte Vista Water District conducted a comprehensive customer opinion survey to evaluate all levels of District performance, and the results demonstrate that customers have a very high level of satisfaction with their water service.

Board Establishes New Water Rates (Jan 14, 2016)

On January 13, 2016, the Monte Vista Water District Board of Directors adopted Resolution 698-16 establishing a new four-year water rate schedule which will go into effect on March 1, 2016. Click here for more information on water rates.

Change your clocks and irrigation schedule! (Oct 29, 2015)

Fall means less watering. MVWD would like to remind customers to check their sprinkler timers when they change their clocks for daylight-saving time, which began on Sunday, November 1.


Board Adopts Resolution in Support of Water Bond (Sep 17, 2014)

On September 10, the Board of Directors adopted Resolution 682-15 in support of the $7.545 billion water bond that will appear on the November ballot.


District Responds to Statewide Drought (Jan 20, 2014)

In response to Governor Brown's declaration of a statewide drought, the Monte Vista Water District Board of Directors passed Resolution 676-14 recognizing the drought and asking customers to continue their successful conservation efforts by implementing water use efficiency "best practices" and increased participation in rebate and incentive programs.
